Start with what you can observe, then move to the narrowest answer page. Exit Ways is changing during Early Access, so the most useful report is specific about the failure point and careful about the difference between a player report and a published fix.
Write down whether the failure happens before map entry, during region selection, or after joining co-op. Restart after Steam finishes an update, test once, and compare the exact symptom with the current issues page. An update about spawning does not automatically resolve every server or map-loading report.
Check the wipe status page before investing in long sessions. Launch-week fixes mention exploits, save behavior, and balance impact, so separate an announced progress reset from a missing item, failed purchase, quest defect, or other save-state problem.
Begin at the shelter, choose what to risk, enter a raid, gather resources, and prioritize extraction over an unnecessary fight. The official description includes infected, hostile players, quests, crafting, and shelter upgrades, so solo or co-op does not mean the environment is free of other threats.
